nanowrimo...oh no

So I did it again, I signed up for National Novel Writing Month. What this means is that I'll be trying to write 50,000 words during the month of November. I didn't manage it last year. I need to stock up on food this weekend, and I will need everyone's encouragement. This will involve lots of cigarettes and beer, donations are always welcome. Why I am doing this to myself, I don't know.

I haven't posted in months. I was having a rough time for a while. I know I've mentioned that switching to helpdesk was hard, but it was really just killing me. I went to see Elvis Costello a couple weeks ago with Dock and Elizabeth and had a really good time. It's so nice going to shows and not watching people kill each other like they did in Boston. I got to talk philosophy with Elizabeth for a bit too, and that was really nice. Since then, the last couple of weeks at work have been tolerable, I'm not getting so stressed I can't function. It turns out that even people who didn't know me too well were pretty sure I was about to meltdown and quit.

There's weird stuff in my guestbook, I normally nuke it, but I think it's kind of funny that someone's trying to sell car parts from my guestbook. Ha.

I'm in the process of gathering together stuff for my halloween costume. I haven't dressed up in years, but Leslie talked me into it. Now I'm all excited. I get to wear wings! Pictures later, I'm sure.
