Barbara Kruger is one of the most influential feminist photographers of the contemporary pop art scene. Her work has innundated the social unconscious, with such well known pieces as the "Your Body is a Battleground" and the "I shop therefore I am" postcards.

Francesca Woodman is my all time favorite photographer.  She was a very young woman who only worked with cameras for about five years of her short life.  Her images are hauntingly beautiful and laden with meaning and commentary on the female body.  One of my most admired artists ever.
